"Supporting the Light"

Looks Deceive

How can you be happy, when inside you are sad?

How can you be cheery, when deep down you feel bad?

How can you be something, which really you are not?

And when to go on living, takes everything you've got.

How can you feel confident, when really you're afraid?

How can you feel secure, when you think of what was said?

How can you feel loved, when it seem that you are not?

And when years spent together, seem to have been forgot.

What use is there in living, if one's life is but a lie?

What purpose in forgiving, if one's not allowed to cry.

What good is there in hoping that things will turn out right?

If all the time the answer is hidden from one's sight.

Why eat, drink, and be merry, if tomorrow we just die.

Why pretend to be happy, if it would only be a lie?

Why go to all the bother of putting on an act?

If to deceive oneself and them, has hid the very fact.
