A Question Of Faith
Oh what confusion!
What conflict of mind
Within my head doth beat.
Does God exist?
Does Jesus live?
The answer's incomplete.
And though these words I now express,
There was a time, not far,
When I believed and was at peace.
Oh what commotion!
What turmoil of soul
Within my heart doth rage.
Did God create?
Did Jesus heal?
For answers how I crave.
And yet this craving deep inside
For answers now unsolved,
Was once a calm and peaceful walk.
Oh what deception!
What extremities of guile
Within my heart did wage.
To make me think,
To even doubt,
That Jesus could not save.
And though some questions stand unsolved,
The answers hard to find,
In Thee I hope and there find peace.
