The MA
Degree Show is the culmination of works by 32 emerging British
and International artists and designers. The exhibition, in four parts,
uses the defining words of Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Textile
Design to develop a multi-faceted field of creative thought and process
worthy of intellectual distinction. The list of territories being
discovered is exceptional and a testimony to the Winchester School
of Arts' open attitude and approach to fostering and developing a
comprehensive body of work through personal methods of exploration
and play.
This
group of artists and designers present a vast array of research dealing
with issues concerning observation and identity, relationships, gaze,
perception, the tactile and non-tactile, socio-political events, and
world economics. They analyse our rapidly evolving technology, they
raise questions, construct arguments, crack codes, define identity,
and explore all facets of the digital arts, extending the boundaries
and elasticity of materials.
Each
artist and designer has defined their space and their research with
intensity. The show will intuitively evoke all the senses.
